11-Week Dental Assistant Program

COURSE OVERVIEW

Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist School In Chicago DAAC’s dental assistant training program prepares students to go from the classroom to the workplace quickly by providing them with the hands on training needed to work in a dental practice.

Our training focuses solely on the fundamental skills and knowledge required to work in a dental office. The program is designed to offer dental assistant training that allows an individual to complete training and seek employment in the shortest amount of time possible.

Students are instructed in an actual dental office so they are familiar with the work environment before their first day of work as a dental assistant.

HOURS & SCHEDULE

Lectures are held one day a week. Students may choose a Wednesday lecture, which runs from 11:00am to 7:00pm, or Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Both sections include a 1-hour lunch break, and 2, 10-minute breaks.

In addition to the 11 days of lecture, students must complete a minimum of 112 clinical hours at Downtown Dental Loop with their instructors.

Our students have the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with several dental professionals on actual patients. Hours for clinical training are scheduled individually with slots available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 7:45am to 5:15pm, and Friday, 7:45am to 3:15pm. In order to complete the full 112 hours of clinical training, students should anticipate sometimes scheduling more than 8 hours per week.
